Registering for Courses

Most students can register for classes online using the student information system on EX Web/JICS. New MCC students who have completed the application process will receive a notification that they can now access the MCC Portal. In addition, students who are returning to MCC after an absence of one year or less may only register in person until their active directory account is reestablished.

Note: Before registering, the student must know his/her JICS user name and password. MCC Connect  can help with forgotten login information; however, students must have a student ID number in order to get help from MCC Connect. For lost student ID numbers, students may bring a picture ID to the Enrollment Services window at the local campus or complete a Request for MCC Student ID Number Reminder.

After reviewing the current credit course schedule for available courses, students should complete the following steps to register for classes:

1. Go to EX Web/JICS.
2. Enter JICS user name and password.
   
3. Select the Students tab.
4. Scroll down and click Course Search.
5. Select the Term (semester).
6. Search for courses and select sections desired.
7. After courses are selected, scroll to Your Schedule and verify that all selected courses are correct.
8. To pay for the courses, click My Account Info and then My Account Balance to see amount owed.
9. Click the dollar amount shown to view a description of activity on the account.
10. Click on Pay Tuition and Fees and enter the amount to be paid.
11. The next screen asks for a payment method. Currently, the only option for online payment is by credit card.
12. To pay by credit card, click Continue and the area to enter personal information and credit card number will appear.
13. To pay in person, students must visit a local campus.

Note: Do not use the back arrow on your web page. Using the back button will create an error message. Instead, use the navigation tools to view different screens. The navigation bar to the left or the path in the middle of the screen. If you receive an error message at any stage of this process, contact MCC Connect .
