MAT 099A - Mathematical Literacy for College Students

Note: This course substitutes for TRM 091 for non-science, non-math majors in programs that do not require College Algebra.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of TRM 090 and PCS 021 or appropriate assessment test scores.

Description: Mathematical Literacy for College Students is a course for non-math and non-science majors integrating problem solving, numeracy, proportional reasoning, algebraic reasoning, and understanding of functions. College success content is integrated with mathematical topics to help students acquire the strategies and persistence necessary to be successful in mathematics and other college course work.
