SGT 121 - Orientation and Introduction to Surgery

Prerequisite: BIO 160 or BIO 201 & BIO 201 , MAT 101 or higher, COM 121

Corequisite: BIO 205

Description: Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts of practice as a surgical technologist within various Health Care Facilities. Needs of the surgical patient are explored along with the surgical technologists’ responsibilities in emergency situations. Medical terminology is explored.
