EDU 273 - Secondary Science Methods Prerequisite: Baccalaureate Degree and formal acceptance to a Mohave Community College post-baccalaureate alternative licensure program or permission from Dean of General Education.
Description: This course concentrates on the practical application of science teaching strategies and curriculum development for secondary teachers. Focus on curriculum design, lesson objectives, time management skills, teaching resources and student assessment also included. Arizona Teaching Standards emphasized. Includes current research findings related to the application and learning of secondary science content. Prerequisites: Baccalaureate Degree and formal acceptance to a Mohave Community College post-baccalaureate alternative licensure program or permission from Dean of General Education. *This course requires completing field experience in K-12 schools.
