The Baking and Pastry Certificate program introduces students to the techniques of producing artisan breads, classic pastries, pies, tarts and petits fours, cookies, cakes, confections, and showpieces. Throughout the program, students develop an increased awareness of professionalism and proficiency in preparation procedures, production methods, and presentation techniques for pastries, baked goods, and desserts, as well as nutritional factors, cost control, and food safety. During and after completion of the program, the faculty chefs will assist students in career planning and development.
