Life Science, AS (LSD)

The Associate of Science in Life Science prepares the student for transfer to a university Bachelor of Science degree in Science with a concentration in biology, botany, zoology, microbiology, or wildlife biology.  Students wishing to transfer to four-year institutions will have the academic foundation applicable to various career fields such as research and development as well as further study towards professions in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health-related careers. Graduates may find employment in botanical gardens and zoos, museums and aquariums, botanical gardens and nature parks, and research foundations. Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.

*A transferrable course is defined as an MCC course that transfers to all three Arizona state universities (Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona).
