Truck Driver Training-Logistics Management Certificate (TDLMC)

The Truck Driver Training/Logistics Management Certificate prepares students for employment in the truck driving industry, including both long- and short-haul trips using multi-axle vehicles and trailers. It provides students with knowledge of the rules and regulations within the truck driving industry.

In addition to the skills and knowledge specific to driving multi-axle vehicles, it teaches how the driver represents the first point of contact for a company and provides knowledge and skills in communication, customer service, critical thinking and problem solving for situations that a driver would face in the real world.

Students will first be required to take and pass the CDL written test. Following completion of the CDL written test, students will receive hands-on training and perform range work under the supervision of a certified CDL trainer. This program is hands-on and the program ends with the completion of the CDL driving test with opportunities for additional endorsements in tankers, hazardous materials, accident procedures and regulations, and setup for multiple trailers.  Certification can be accomplished in one semester. For more information regarding the Truck Driver Training-Logistics Management Certificate, see the Truck Driver Training web page.

Students who successfully complete the program will earn a Certificate of Proficiency in Truck Driver Training/Logistics Management.

Students who wish to apply must possess a valid driver’s license. Students wishing to drive across state lines must be 21 years of age or older. Passing a state-approved physical exam will be required prior to employment. For further information regarding the health demands of the industry, refer to the following links:
