The Associate of Applied Science degree in Business and Entrepreneurship prepares students for the business challenges of the future by providing them with a broad understanding of business principles. It also prepares students for careers as small business owners and emphasizes the skills and behavior patterns necessary to contribute to business success. The program content includes major subject areas of business such as entrepreneurship, accounting, economics, human resources, marketing, organizational and small business management, and business law. Additional skill sets such as effective oral and written communication, ethics, and computer proficiency are also emphasized. The program is intended for individuals who plan to use their studies for immediate employment, enhanced job performance, career advancement, or for starting and owning their own businesses. Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
