SAC 221 - Cultural Diversity

Prerequisite: Approval of Instructor or Associate Dean required. Successful completion of ENG 101, and PSY 101 with C or higher.

Description: This course prepares the paraprofessional counselor to work with diverse populations with substance use disorders; understanding the impact of culture and community in how clients perceive substance use and treatment; and selecting appropriate treatment strategies to match client characteristics.
