EMS 125A - Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Techniques in pre-hospital emergency care appropriate to the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Scope of Practice. Includes identifying signs and symptoms associated with illness and traumatic injuries. Also includes intervention used in managing patient and transfer of the patient to higher level medical authority. This course covers the National EMS Education Standards curriculum for EMR, as well as the National Registry Practical portion of EMR. Course is designed to prepare eligible students for NREMT EMR examination.
Credits: 4 Prerequisite: 16 years of age and multiple measures discussion, or appropriate score on placement exam, or completion of ABE 021 with an ‘S’
