The Welding Technology, Level I (Entry Welder) Certificate is based on the American Welding Society (AWS) Schools Excelling through National School Standards Education (SENSE) guidelines. Mohave Community College is a SENSE Participation Organization and is approved to train students for this certification. This certificate includes the 100-level welding courses required to prepare a student for a position as a Level I Entry Welder in the welding field. The Welding program is located on the Neal Campus in Kingman.

Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.

Prerequisite Requirements

Student must have completed with a “C” grade or better all the requirements of Welding Technology - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Certificate (GTAWC) , Welding Technology - Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) Certificate (GMAWC) , and Welding Technology - Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Certificate (SMAWC) before pursuing the AWS SENSE Welding Level I (Entry Level Welder).
