The Paramedic Certificate program prepares students to render pre-hospital emergency care as an ambulance, fire department, search and rescue, and volunteer ambulance personnel. This program trains students to perform a variety of medical services including recognition of and management of patients with heart disease; immediate care to persons with auto accident injuries, burns, poisoning, and alcohol and drug overdose; assistance with emergency childbirth, acute psychiatric disorders, and various other medical emergencies. This program meets or exceeds all National EMS Paramedic Education Curriculum requirements.
Students who wish to participate in the Paramedic Certificate program must be 18 years of age or older and be a currently-certified EMT. In addition, they must have a current CPR-BLS for ‘Healthcare Provider’ or equivalent credential. Students in the paramedic program must maintain their EMT certification throughout the paramedic program.

Requirements for Graduation
NO D or F grades in any program required courses and completion of all field of study courses with a ‘B’ or better.
Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a ‘C’ average or greater. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
