Pathway to Dental Hygiene (PDAE.AA)

The Pathway to Dental Hygiene consists of courses required within the Dental Hygiene program and additional coursework to meet a Liberal Arts Associate of Arts degree and the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC.CC) .  Please refer to the Dental Hygiene, AAS  degree for program-specific courses. 

Note: Bold font and underline indicates courses which are required within the Dental Hygiene, AAS program.

General Education Requirements: 39 credits


Written and Oral Communication: 9 credits

Choose either of the following:


Quantitative Reasoning: 3 credits

Choose one course from the following:


Arts and Humanities: 6 credits

  • PHI 151 Ethics  Credits: 3

  • Choose one more course from the Arts and Humantities section of the AGEC  

Social and Behavioral Sciences: 6 credits


Natural Sciences: 12 credits​


Institutions of the Americas: 3 credits

​Choose a course or courses from the Institutions of the Americas section of the AGEC  to meet the 3 credits


 

Elective Options: 21


After consulting with an advisor, choose 21 transferable* credits from the Course Equivalency Guide (CEG) excluding courses already used for the AGEC .  Please choose the Mohave College link. 

*A transferable course is defined as a Mohave College course that transfers to all three Arizona state universities (Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona).
