The Residential Construction Certificate program equips students with the foundational skills and hands-on experience necessary for entry-level positions in the construction industry. Students will apply OSHA 10 safety protocols and state and county code requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards. Through coursework and practical application, they will learn to perform blueprint reading, construct residential concrete slabs, and utilize advanced framing techniques. Additionally, students will gain expertise in constructing small structures, hanging and finishing drywall, performing finish carpentry, and installing home openings. The program also covers the installation of basic plumbing systems, providing a comprehensive understanding of essential residential construction processes.
