The Professional Applications Certificate provides students with a working knowledge of a variety of software programs used in business today. Many of the courses satisfactorily completed in this certificate program will apply to the Associate of Business degree in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems. Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Use the tools and menus in the Microsoft Office programs to produce effective documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. (2, 3, 6)
- Use web page design software to create and enhance a website. (1, 6)
- Use digital imaging software to modify and enhance images. (1, 3, 6)

Certificate Requirements: 15 credits
Choose five courses from the following: Elective Requirements: 3 credits
- Choose one CIS 100-level or above course as an elective, excluding courses already taken.
Notes: - Confirm program requirements and course expectations early in the term.
