Automotive Estimating Certificate (AES.CT)

The Auto Collision Estimating Certificate prepares students to become a vehicle damage estimator for an auto collision body shop or an estimator for a vehicle insurance company. Students will gain industry knowledge in vehicle terminology, professional estimate writing, basic body work and safety, basic refinishing and safety and body measuring to assist in better writing damage estimates.

1. Communicate professionally with customers, insurance companies, employees and co-workers. (2,3,4)
2. Develop a professional systematic approach to repair a damanged vehicle. (3,4,5)
3. Determine cost effectiveness for replacing a damaged part copared to repairing. (2,4,5)
4. Perform basic bodywork and refinishing techniques used i the auto collision industry. (2,3,5)
