Pipe Welding and Fabrication Certificate (WPF.CT)

The Pipe Welding and Fabrication Certificate introduces students to the methods and techniques required to work in the pipe welding and fabrication industry. Students will reinforce shop safety, shop math, shop tools and basic print reading. Students will learn fabrication from prints, multiple metal cutting methods, and welding methods and techniques applied in the pipe welding and fabrication industries. Program Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the program students will be able to:
- Apply safety protocols
- Utilize tools in the industry
- Utilize blueprints and shop drawings
- Differentiate visual criteria from multiple code standards
- Perform cutting techniques used in the industry
- Utilize welding processes IAW industry standards
- Design projects IAW industry standards
- Fabricate projects IAW industry standards
- Employ repair procedures
- Distinguish needs of workforce readiness
