Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC)

The Arizona public community colleges and three state universities have established a unified structure for a general education core curriculum known as the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC). This curriculum consists of 32 to 35 semester credits of lower-division general education coursework designed to prepare students for transfer to a university. Approved AGEC courses fulfill lower-division general education requirements at any Arizona community college or university. Students must complete course prerequisites, major requirements, and upper-division requirements as specified by each university.

Mohave College awards the AGEC certificate upon successful completion of designated courses.

Important Notes:

  • A grade of “C” or better is required for a course to be eligible for transfer.
  • Acceptance of transfer courses is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
