The Network Support Certificate program prepares students for a career in the fast-growing IT field by providing the skills needed to design, implement, troubleshoot, and secure computer networks. Through hands-on training, you’ll master the installation and configuration of network hardware, software, and operating systems, while also developing strong professional communication and client support abilities. This program emphasizes the use of industry-standard tools and technologies, ensuring readiness for the demands of today’s job market. Graduates are well-prepared for entry-level roles such as network administrator, IT support technician, or network specialist, with opportunities to grow and advance in the high-demand tech sector.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon successsful completion of this program students will be able to:
- Demonstrate competency in computer hardware troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, and apply fundamental software concepts and troubleshooting techniques. (3, 5, 6)
- Design, code, test, and debug programs using programming languages, applying appropriate programming principles and data structures. (3, 6)
- Configure, secure, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs) by determining appropriate network topologies, addressing schemes, and routing protocols (6)
- Implement and manage network security measures. (3, 4, 5, 6)
- Articulate verbal and written technical information clearly and concisely for technical and non-technical audiences. (2)
