DEH 117 - Applied Pharmacology This course introduces dental hygiene students to pharmacology principles, emphasizing drugs used in dental practice and systemic medications that impact oral health. Topics include drug classifications, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, side effects, and drug interactions. Students will learn to evaluate patient medications and apply pharmacological knowledge in developing treatment plans and patient education.
