PSY 235 - Statistics for Behavioral Sciences


An introduction to the basic concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics with an emphasis placed on behavioral sciences.  Topics include principles of measurement, measures of central tendency and variability, probability and distributions, correlation and regression, hypothesis testing, t-tests, analysis of variance, and chi-square tests.

This course introduces fundamental concepts in descriptive and inferential statistics with a focus on social and behavioral sciences. Topics include measurement principles, central tendency, variability, probability, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing. Students will learn to conduct t-tests, ANOVA, and chi-square tests, applying these statistical tools to analyze data related to human behavior and social phenomena.
