SAC 221 - Cultural Diversity

This course prepares the paraprofessional counselor to work with diverse populations with substance use disorders; understanding the impact of culture and community in how clients perceive substance use and treatment; and selecting appropriate treatment strategies to match client characteristics.

Credits: 3
Prerequisite: Approval of Instructor or Associate Dean required. Successful completion of ENG 101 and PSY 101 with a ‘C’ or higher.
