BIO 160 - Anatomy and Physiology of Human Structure and Function

This course explores the anatomy and physiology of the human body, providing an understanding of its structures and functions. Students will master anatomical terminology, apply foundational principles of chemistry, and explore the intricate relationships between cells, tissues, organs, and systems. Key topics include cellular processes, tissue organization, and the functionality of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive, and immune systems. Students will develop critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Emphasis is placed on understanding homeostasis, the integration of physiological systems, and the impact of external factors on human health.
