EDU 277 - Secondary Social Studies Methods This course concentrates on the practical application of social studies teaching strategies and curriculum development for secondary teachers. Focus on curriculum design, lesson objectives, time management skills, teaching resources and student assessment also included. Arizona Teaching Standards emphasized. Includes current research findings related to the application and learning of secondary social studies content (History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science). *This course requires completing field experience in K-12 schools.
Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Baccalaureate Degree and formal acceptance to a Mohave Community College post-baccalaureate alternative licensure program or permission from Dean of General Education.
