DMS 112 - Introduction to Adult Echocardiography

Intro to Adult Echocardiography is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in cardiac sonography within the context of a comprehensive diagnostic sonography program. The course emphasizes the acquisition of skills and understanding necessary to perform high-quality adult echocardiography examinations. Students will explore the anatomy, pathology, physiological variations, and foundational scanning protocols of the human heart.

Credits: 3
Prerequisite: DMS 110 Introduction to Sonography and Patient Care

DMS 121 Sonography Physics and Instrumentaion
Corequisite: DMS 122
