HUS 350 - Victimology and Advocacy


This course provides an in-depth examination of victimology, the study of victims, and the psychological, social, and legal aspects of victimization. Students will explore the impact of crime on victims, the role of human services professionals in victim support, and the development of victim services and advocacy. Topics include types of victimization, the criminal justice system’s response to victims, and current trends in victim rights and restorative justice.
