HUS 431 - Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families


This course provides an in-depth understanding of trauma and its profound impact on children and families within the human services context. Students will explore the principles of trauma-informed care, emphasizing the importance of recognizing, responding to, and mitigating the effects of trauma in service delivery. Topics include the biological, psychological, and social impacts of trauma on development, effective intervention strategies, and culturally responsive approaches to care.
