HVAC/R Light Commercial Certificate (HLC.CT)

The HVAC/R Light Commercial Certificate prepares the student for a career in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration systems with an emphasis on commercial/industrial applications. Topics will include safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification, refrigeration theory, residential and commercial/industrial HVAC systems, and commercial/domestic refrigeration repair. Note:
- This course is a competency-based program and requires a grade of B or better in each course in order to progress to the next course or set of courses.
- For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
