Manufacturing Processes and Systems (MFPS.CT)

This certificate program provides students with a strong foundation in manufacturing principles. Emphasizing industrial safety, motor controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, and introductory programmable logic controllers (PLCs), the program prepares graduates for entry-level positions in manufacturing, automation, and maintenance industries. Through hands-on training and practical applications, students gain the technical skills and safety knowledge required to succeed in today’s advanced manufacturing environments.

 

Program Student Learning Outcomes: 
Upon completion of the program students will be able to:

  2. Demonstrate and Explain Basic Electronics and Math Concepts
  3. Build and Operate Fluid Powered Systems
  4. Assemble and Operate Mechanical Components to Perform System Functions
  5. Design, Assemble, and Operate Motor Control Systems
  6. Explain the Functions and Applications of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in Industrial Automation Systems
