Medical Assistant Certificate (MDA.CT)

The medical assistant is an integral member of the health care delivery team, qualified by education and experience to perform administrative, clinical, and laboratory roles. The medical assistant often acts as a liaison between the doctor and the patient and is of vital importance to the success of the medical practice. A completed application must be submitted for admission to the medical assistant programs. You can obtain the application online, at any Mohave College campus, from an advisor, or at the medical assistant department. 

Requirements for Graduation

• Anatomy and Physiology course must be completed with a “C” or better. 
• No D or F grades in any courses required for the program of study and a cumulative G.P.A. 2.5.
• Completion of all field of study courses with a “C” or better.

Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
