                  EDU 205 - Introduction to Education Prerequisite: ENG 101 
  Provides students with an initial perspective of Education. Topics include: purposes of schooling and schools; effective schools; diversity and its effects on schools, teachers, and students; societal and political issues affecting schools; comparative education; curriculum issues and controversies; and technology’s impact on schools and schooling. Also, philosophical, legal, and financial issues facing today’s schools; history of American education; and current trends in education reform. This class requires 30 hours of classroom experiential involvement in local public schools.
