MAT 101 - Mathematical Literacy for College Students Mathematical Literacy for College Students is designed for students on a liberal arts/statistics (non-calculus) pathway, integrating problem solving, numeracy, proportional reasoning, algebraic reasoning, and understanding of functions. College success content is integrated with mathematical topics to help students acquire the strategies and persistence necessary to be successful in mathematics and other college course work. It is not appropriate for students in programs requiring MAT 151 - College Algebra .
Credits: 4 Prerequisite: Multiple measures discussion, or appropriate score on placement exam, or completion of TRM 090 and ABE 021 with an ‘S’.
