Certified Caregiver (CC.ND)

The Assisted Living Caregiver program teaches the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a caregiver in an Assisted Living Facility or private home. Topics covered address the care of the cognitively-impaired resident as well as basic caregiving, restorative services, and medication management. The Assisted Living Caregiver Program is designed to prepare the student for the Caregiver Certification Examination mandated by the Arizona Board of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers (AZNCIA).

The Assisted Living Caregiver Program also provides a medication “Bridge” for Certified/Licensed Nursing Assistants. The “Bridge” provides instruction in medication management preparing the Certified or Licensed Nursing Assistant (CNA/LNA) for the caregiver certification examination.
