The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is intended to prepare the student for entry into a vocational area or to upgrade skills of persons already employed. The 15 credits of general education courses introduce skills needed and desired by employers and employees. Students who enroll in such programs generally do not plan to transfer to a four-year college or university; however, the opportunity exists through the increased availability of Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degrees offered at colleges and universities. The remaining hours include course work to develop skills in the vocational and related areas.

Entrepreneurship & e-Marketing Certificate: 19
The Entrepreneurship & e-Marketing Certificate is designed to provide students with the knowledge necessary to think like entrepreneurs in recognizing new business opportunities. It integrates functional areas of entrepreneurship such as start-up procedures, idea generation and business plan preparation with an overview of marketing, financing & accounting principles.
Career and Technical Specialty Areas: 26-43
In the Career and Technical Specialty Areas, students can select from an assortment of certificates in order to achieve the 26 credit minimum. Students must complete one or more certificates of their choosing from the approved list below. For more information regarding the different program options, see the current college catalog.
