The Refrigeration Certificate prepares students for the commercial refrigeration branch of the industry. Commercial refrigeration technicians focus on the equipment and skills necessary to serve commercial businesses.  Examples include restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, and convenience stores that have ice machines, coolers, chillers, and other types of refrigeration equipment.  Students who complete the program will have certifications in physical and environmental safety (OSHA and EPA) as well as knowledge in workplace readiness, refrigeration equipment and diagnosis, and troubleshooting of that equipment. For more information regarding the HVAC Technican Certificate, see the HVAC webpage.
