The Surgical Technology, CST Pathway to AAS program provides students with the opportunity to further their knowledge and education culminating in an Associate of Applied Science Degree.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) is in line with the current recommendation of the professional body, the Association of Surgical Technologists, which recommends an AAS degree to work in the field of Surgical Technology. The degree adds to the competitiveness of a Surgical Technologist seeking employment. Many hospitals have a career ladder, which can require an associate’s degree for advancement. An advanced degree furthers the student’s education and rightly positions them for additional education. This course of study incorporates knowledge and principles from the liberal arts with an emphasis on the sciences in theory.

The Mohave College Surgical Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), 9355 113th St. N, #7709, Seminole, FL 33775, 727.210.2350, in cooperation with the Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARC/STSA), 19751 East Mainstreet, Suite #339, Parker, CO 80138, 303.694.9262, email: info@arcstsa.org
