The Census Date is a calendar date established by MCC after which we will no longer adjust Pell Grant funds up or down due to changes in enrollment.
MCC has established the last day of the drop period for full semester courses as the census date. To receive the full benefit of financial aid funds, students should make every effort to enroll for all courses prior to the census date each semester.
Students who register for 12-week and second 8-week courses after the census date and after they have received a disbursement of their financial aid for the semester, will not receive an adjustment to their financial aid to help cover the additional tuition charges added due to late enrollment.
Similarly, students who enroll for 12-week courses only, will not be able to add courses for the 12-week or second 8-week courses after the census date for 12-week courses has passed.
Be sure to check the Academic Calendar for updates to census dates, especially for the summer semester. To better understand what the census date means to you and your financial aid, visit with a student services specialist at your local campus or by phone by calling MCC Connect .
