- As of June 1, 2015, MAT 142 - College Mathematics has been updated to reflect being designated as a course: MAT 1142.
- As of June 1, 2015, MAT 212 - Brief Calculus has been updated to reflect being designated as a course: MAT 2212.
- As of April 3, 2015, the prerequisite, course description, and credit breakdown have been changed for NUR 135 and NUR 235 .
- As of December 11, 2014, the Welding Technology, AAS (WLDTD) suggested pathway has been temporarily removed from the program of study page, pending revisions.
- As of December 9, 2014, SOC 132 - Social Problems In Modern Society has been updated to reflect being designated as a course: SOC 2250.
- As of November 17, 2014, the Healthcare Information Technician Program Matrix has been updated to reflect suggested guidelines for program completion, specifically MEA 100 has been moved to Semester 3, and HES 129 has been moved to Semester 2.
- As of September 5, 2014, the prerequisite for EDU 250 has changed from a minimum COMPASS reading score of 70 or successful completion of PCS 021 to enroll, to Student must hold current teaching license.

- As of August 27, 2014, the prerequisite for has changed from a minimum COMPASS reading score of 70 to no prerequisite to enroll.
- As of August 15, 2014, the prerequisite for ECE 160 - Early Childhood Development and ECE 161 - Health, Safety, and Nutrition for the Young Child has changed from PCS 023 to PCS 021 .
- As of August 4, 2014, course prerequisites that noted permission of academic chair were changed to permission of subject area associate dean.
- As of July 23, 2014, the Biology AP (Advanced Placement) exam scores have been modified on the Advanced Placement table. For a Biology AP exam score of 3, BIO 100 - Biology Concepts with Lab , would be the MCC course equivalency. For a Biology AP exam score of 4 or 5, BIO 181 - General Biology I (Majors) with Lab and BIO 182 - General Biology II (Majors) with Lab would be the MCC course equivalencies.
- As of June 10, 2014, MCC has added a NEW transferable course, PSY 290A - Research Methods . This course satisfies a psychology requirement in our established ASU TAG agreements for the Psychology, BS and BA degrees.
- As of May 5, 2014, ACC 120 - Using QuickBooks prerequisite was changed to reflect the approved curriculum submission.
- The MCC Catalog-Student Handbook Survey is available in order to seek additional user feedback and recommendations.
- The MCC Student Handbook has been added as a tab on the catalog menu navigation pane (located on the left side of page).
- Effective with this catalog, degree declaration codes are now included in the title of each program.
- MCC has begun a process where each degree or certificate program will recommend courses term by term for optimal completion of the degree or certificate. This recommendation, called a pathway, should be useful to students when creating their academic plan. A full list of course options, not just those in the pathway, is listed in degree or certificate program of study found in the body of this catalog. More degrees and certificates will add pathways as they are completed.

- Art, AA (ARTD) added advanced studio courses in order to create a portfolio for transfer students as well as address the needs of adult learners.
- Automotive Collision Repair Technology, AAS (ACRD) has sequenced its curriculum content to the I-CAR program.
- Accounting, AAS (ACCD) added the option of or in the Business Requirements section.
- Corrections Officer Certificate (CORCC) has officially added to the program of study. It was a hidden prerequisite requirement of the 13-14 program. was retired and was added to the program.
- Computer Graphics and Web Design, AAS (CGWDD) retired CIS 140 and replaced it with . The program was modified to has replaced .
- Computer Graphics and Web Design Certificate (WEBC) retired CIS 140 and replaced it with .
- Culinary and Hospitality Management, AAS (CHSMD) removed as a general education course requirement. A programmatic name change was requested. The new program title is the Culinary and Hospitality Management Program. was added to the program. The addition of this course will increase the total credit hours for the degree from 61 credits to 65 credits.
- Culinary and Hospitality Management Certificate (CHSMC) has added to the program. The addition of this course will increase the total credit hours for the certificate from 46 credits to 50 credits.
- Dental Hygiene, AAS (DAED) would enable students that have successfully completed both the Dental Assisting Radiography course and the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam to use these credentials to waive the course.
- Education - Elementary Teacher, Emphasis in Early Childhood, AA (EDECD) will allow students to have a choice to either enroll in or . , , and have been added to the program. , , and have been removed from the program.
- Education - Elementary Education, AA (EDEED) will allow students to have a choice to either enroll in or . The title of the program has changed from Education - Elementary and Middle School Teacher, AA to Education - Elementary Education, AA.
- Engineering, AS (ENGRD) has included a new course, as an alternative to the and courses.
- Fire Science - Driver/Operator Certificate (FDOC) retired FSC 110 and added . The addition of this course will increase the total credit hours for the certificate from 34 credits to 36 credits.
- Fire Science - Fire Fighter Certificate (FFC) retired FSC 110 and added FSC 150 . The addition of this course will increase the total credit hours for the certificate from 24 credits to 26 credits.
- Fire Science - Fire Officer Certificate (FOC) retired FSC 110 and added FSC 150 . The addition of this course will increase the total credit hours for the certificate from 43 credits to 45 credits.
- Fire Science, AAS (FSCD) retired FSC 110 and added FSC 150 . One Global Awareness and one Critical Thinking and Reasoning requirement was removed from the General Education component of the program. These approved changes will decrease the total credit hours for the degree from 67-70 credits to 63-65 credits.
- Network Support and Information Security, AAS (NSISD) was modified to replace CIS 261 course.
- Paramedic Certificate (EMSC) changed the program description to match the requirements of the .
- Professional Applications Certificate (CISPC) retired CIS 140 and replaced it with CIS 142 .
- Programming and Game Development Certificate (PGDC) removed as an optional elective.
- Social and Behavioral Science, AA (SOCD) requires that all courses taken to fulfill the required 15 hours in the major for the AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences degree and all courses taken to fulfill AGEC-A requirements must be passed with a C or better in order to graduate with the degree.
- Social Studies, AA (SSTD) requires that all courses taken to fulfill the required 15 hours in the major for the AA in Social Studies degree and all courses taken to fulfill AGEC-A requirements must be passed with a C or better in order to graduate with the degree.
