Description: This is the first of a two course sequence designed for science majors. This course provides a broad overview of life on earth today and how life has changed over time. The course content focuses on the basic mechanisms of life: cell structure and function, biochemistry, metabolism, energetics, genetics and evolution. The lab will complement the lectures.
