CAD 100 - CAD Fundamentals and Tools This course introduces students to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, focusing on creating and manipulating 2D geometric shapes and lines. Students will apply industry-standard dimensioning and annotation techniques and generate and modify basic 3D models using parametric and direct modeling approaches. The curriculum emphasizes interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications for design documentation and fosters collaboration within multidisciplinary teams to integrate design changes. Additionally, students will explore AI-driven tools in CAD software to streamline processes, including automated drawing corrections and design recommendations.
Credits: 4 Prerequisite: Multiple Measures, or appropriate score on placement exam, or a passing score ‘S’ in TRM 091
