CAD 110 - CAD Capstone Project

This course equips students with advanced CAD modeling techniques to conceptualize and develop detailed designs for engineering projects. Participants will integrate CAD with engineering analysis tools, such as FEA and CFD, to simulate and validate design performance under various conditions. The curriculum emphasizes optimizing designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to address project requirements and meet milestones. Students will learn to effectively present and communicate design concepts and analysis results to stakeholders and industry professionals. Project management principles will be applied to plan and execute CAD projects within budget and schedule constraints. The course fosters creativity and problem-solving skills in tackling real-world engineering challenges through CAD-driven solutions, culminating in comprehensive engineering documentation that details the design process, analysis methodologies, and project outcomes.
