BIO 306 - Zoology


An exploration of the diverse animal kingdom. This course emphasizes anatomical, physiological, and evolutionary principles that contribute to evolutionary adaptations of animals to their environment. Lectures cover a wide range of topics including the systematics, development, behavior, and ecological roles of invertebrate and vertebrate animal taxa. The laboratory component focuses upon comparative anatomy and physiology in the context of evolutionary relatedness and ecological specializations.
