BIO 305 - Botany A survey of plant biology with an emphasis upon the physical and chemical aspects of life as related to the plant kingdom. Topics include cellular organization, metabolism, reproduction, heredity, evolution and development, ethnobotany, and systematics. Examines the ecological roles of plants in various ecosystems with a focus upon native xerophytes of Arizona. Includes a field based, and investigative lab based, laboratory component.
