Return to: Programs of Study
The Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts is designed for the student who wishes to earn a well-rounded education by studying general subjects or choosing a particular area of emphasis. Employers recognize that while some degrees provide specialized training in a specific field, a liberal arts degree often provides a much broader educational background and skills. These skills, particularly the enhanced communications skills, are applicable to almost any job. Students wishing to transfer to four-year institutions will have the academic foundation applicable to various career fields, such as management, communications specializations, technical communications, education, and research. For more information regarding the Liberal Arts, AA, see the Liberal Arts webpage.
Note: For a course to be eligible for transfer, the student must receive a “C” or better. Acceptance of a transfer course is determined by the receiving institution.
|
Elective Options: 27
After consulting with a student services specialist, choose 27 transferrable* credits from the Course Equivalency Guide excluding courses already used for the AGEC-A. Please choose the Mohave Community College link.
*A transferrable course is defined as an MCC course that transfers to all three Arizona state universities (Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona). Total Degree Credits: 62-66
Note:
A student who chooses to earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a particular field may not earn an AA degree with that same emphasis. Likewise, a student who chooses to earn an AA degree with an emphasis may not earn an AAS degree in that same field. See your local campus student services specialist for a complete listing of applicable emphasis prefixes. |
