The Radiologic Technology program is a comprehensive competency-based program of study that prepares students to take the National Registry Examination offered by the American Registry of Registered Technologists and allows successful students to graduate with entry-level expertise in the field of diagnostic radiology. Students will be able to use critical thinking skills and the application of technology for the fulfillment of personal goals, for community-centered professional practice, or to be eligible for education and training in other specialized diagnostic imaging fields.

Prerequisite Requirements
1.Graduate of an accredited high school or hold a GED certificate, be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate evidence of potential success in the community college, or be a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.
2. Anatomy and Physiology courses over five years old will not be accepted except for applicants working currently in the medical field.
3. GPA of 2.75 or above in all radiology prerequisites.
4. Extra consideration is given to applicants with additional degree earned, Arizona residency, health care experience, and positive references.
5. A completed application must be submitted for admission to the RT program once the prerequisite courses have been completed. An application for admission may be obtained from the www.mohave.edu/radtech webpage or at the Radiologic Technology Office (3400 Hwy. 95, Bullhead City, AZ 86442). Health Policy for Radiologic Technology
Upon admission to the program, students will be required to:
- Sign a waiver releasing the Department of Radiologic Technology and Mohave Community College from responsibility for injury or illness resulting from exposure to disease, medicines or treatments, and sign a release of medical information.
- Present evidence of two-step tuberculosis testing within the past year.
- Provide documentation of measles, mumps, rubella immunization, and a varicella titer.
- Provide evidence of HBV vaccination series or declination.
- Provide documentation of physical examination within the six-month period immediately prior to admission to the RT program demonstrating the student’s ability to perform the essential functions of the profession with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Undergo a drug screen (with negative results) and undergo a general background check.
