Radiologic Technology, AAS

Admission Requirements:

The admission requirements have changed for students interested in applying for the 2014-15 fall semester (2014 cohort). Please see the Radiologic Technology webpage for the specific admission requirements.

The following admission requirements only apply to the 2013-14 cohort:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or hold a GED  certificate, be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate evidence of potential success in the community college, or be a transfer student in good standing from another college or university.
• Anatomy and Physiology courses over five years old will not be accepted except for applicants working currently in the medical field.
• GPA of 2.75 or above in all radiology prerequisites.
• A completed application must be submitted for admission to the RT program once the prerequisite courses have been completed. An application for admission  may be obtained from the www.mohave.edu/radtech webpage or at the Radiologic Technology Office (3400 Hwy. 95, Bullhead City, AZ 86442). Application to the RT Program is not a guarantee of admission. Call 928.704.4180 for further details.
• All pre-program courses are prerequisite to RAD100 and admission to the program.

Health Policy for Radiologic Technology

Upon admission to the program, students will be required to:

• Sign a waiver releasing the Department of Radiologic Technology and Mohave Community College from responsibility for injury or illness resulting from exposure to disease, medicines or treatments, and sign a release of medical information.
• Present evidence of two-step tuberculosis testing within the past year.
• Provide documentation of measles, mumps, rubella immunization, and a varicella titer.
• Provide evidence of HBV vaccination series or declination.
• Provide documentation of physical examination within the six-month period immediately prior to admission to the RT program demonstrating the student’s ability to perform the essential functions of the profession with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Undergo a drug screen (with negative results) and undergo a general background check.

• Completed RT application
• Official college transcripts from non-MCC courses sent to: MCC Radiology Department, 3400 Hwy. 95, Bullhead City, AZ 86442
• Three professional references

Graduation Requirements

• Students must pass all core RT courses and corequisite courses with a “C” grade or better and a GPA of 2.75.
